Whether you were born in western Henrico, Richmond or somewhere else entirely, if you live somewhere west of The Village Ukrops and east of Goochland, you're a WestEnder. Say it loud and be proud, I'm a WestEnder! Sure, the East End of Henrico is part of the county, too, but let's face it, could the two sides of Henrico BE any different? I'll be honest, I know zilch about the East End. I'm sure it's a perfectly lovely place to live, but I've often thought the two ends of Henrico should be entirely different counties with different school systems, politicians, etc... I'm not knocking the East End, but they are so far away they even have a different weather pattern.
So, let's start easy. What do you like, or not like, about the West End of Richmond? This is a new blog, and I'm sure it'll take some time to get going, but send me your opinions!
